Parish Trip to Sligo.

Last August we in Tralee and Dingle Union had the pleasure of welcoming a group of parishioners from Achonry and Skreen, Co Sligo to join us for worship and fellowship  as part of their weekend visit to Kerry.  The visit proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all involved from both ends of the diocese.  We found that we had so much in common with our Sligo friends, with both parishes spread across large rural areas.  The Saturday evening meal in Teach an tSolais was so much fun and the hall was filled with chat and laughter. (The wine may have been a factor!!)
Our friends in Sligo have now kindly extended an invitation to us to travel and spend some time with them, an opportunity to rekindle the friendships which were made last year and make some new ones and also to explore that area of our vast diocese.

Dates for the trip and proposed details so far as follows:-
Friday August 21st - Depart Tralee for Sligo, stopping off at places of interest along the way.
Saturday 22nd - Explore the local area and meet with our Achonry and Skreen friends. .
Sunday 23rd - Morning worship and depart for Kerry.
Our 2 nights accommodation will most likely be in Sligo town.
We won't have an exact price for the trip until we know the numbers going but a very rough guess would be approx.€200 to €250  per person sharing for accommodation and transport.  Meals and drinks would be extra.

To make plans for the trip (i.e.decide on transport, accommodation options etc) we need to have an idea of numbers as soon as possible.
Regardless of whether or not you had an opportunity to be part of the weekend last August, this trip to Sligo promises to be a fun filled and interesting experience.
As many of you will remember, over 20 from Achonry & Skreen Parish came to visit us, so we would really hope to have a good number travelling back to visit them.
