The Holy Communion is celebrated every Wednesday at 11am in the West Room in St Johns Ashe Street. This is followed by Coffee and fellowship in the Ashe Hotel.

Easter and Holy Week

These days seem to be far in the past, however I would like to express my thanks to all who contributed to the services, those who led them, sang, read or led intercessions and of course to those who prepared and decorated our churches with flowers so well for the Easter Day celebrations.

All the services were well attended which is always encouraging for everyone.

Lenten Collections for Bishops Appeal.

Our group raised almost €3000 for Bishops Appeal and the farm Charity embrace during lent.

Many thanks to all who were so generous.

Baptism.

Congratulations to Virginnia McKee who was baptized in St James by the Rev Willa on Easter Day.

It is the first baptism in St James in recent memory.

Virgina is a talented musician and together with Ellie contributes to our services in St James.

Féile Na Bealtaine,

Féile Na Bealtaine is wonderful weekend during which large crowds come to Dingle.

St James Church will be used during the Feile.

There is always such a buzz around Dingle that weekend.

This year we will have a Bi Lingual service in St James at 11am on Sunday the 3rd

May, this will be a united service for the Camp and Dingle area of the parish.

Parishioners in Hospital

Due to privacy rules and GDPR it’s not possible to ask in hospitals anymore for a list of Cs of I patients. I am happy to visit any parishioner in any of the hospitals and care homes in the wider parish area. The provision of pastoral care to Church of Ireland patients in the hospitals such as UHK and the BONS is part of my role. I work closely with the full-time chaplains, but please let me know if you or a loved one would like a visit or indeed if anyone known to you would like a visit.

The Church’s Ministry of Healing: Ireland for a 4-week online series of reflection on the

places we inhabit and a gentle exploration of our true belonging. Carol Casey and Lydia

Monds will lead these sessions through silence, prayer, scripture, and poetry. The sessions

offer a time of wondering, prayer and rest, which we pray will be like a healing balm for your

mind, heart and soul. Online: Thursdays 11am - 12pm, on May 14th, 21st & 28th and

June 4th. Book via www.ministryofhealing.ie
