ST. JOHN'S TOURISM PROJECT

Work is continuing to further develop this project in preparation for the Summer season.  This year it is planned to have our audio visual display and information panels in place as well as a QR code and card terminal for donations.  Last year it was possible to open to the public during weekends thanks to the volunteers who so generously gave of their time.  Again this year, we really need people to volunteer, even if it's only for a few hours now and then.  If you feel this is something you can help with please contact Olive or Rev. Jim.  You won't have to work alone as we usually attend in pairs.  Help and training can be provided and the volunteers will meet well in advance of the season to work out a rota

Féile Na Bealtaine,

Féile Na Bealtaine is wonderful weekend during which large crowds come to Dingle and St James Church is at the heart of it. There is always such a buzz around Dingle that weekend.

This year we will have a Bi Lingual service in St James at 6pm on Saturday the 4th May, This will be a united service for the camp and Dingle part of the parish. There is always such a buzz around Dingle that weekend. All are welcome.

Holy Week and Easter Services.

Many thanks to all who prepared our five churches for the Holy Week and Easter services. Its always encouraging to have good attendances at these services.

Easter is at the heart of our faith,

Reflection:

The story of Good Friday is very much our story. It picks up on our sadness, our challenges, our difficulties and the crosses we all have to carry in life.

But some people choose to stay in Good Friday. They forget to take the step out of the tomb into the light or just don’t have the confidence to do so. A small nervous step forward towards new beginnings is infinitely better than none at all.

We believe that our story does not end on Good Friday. There is something more. Easter is all about hope, new beginnings, new life and taking small steps forward in hope. It is about believing in ourselves, believing in love and kindness and being open to God’s blessings in our lives. I would like to wish you a Happy Easter and every blessing on you and your family.
